The debate over Droid v. iPhone rages on, but lots more Android surprises are on the way. Get ready for the Google Phone. It’s no longer a myth, it’s real.

The next “super” Android device will almost certainly be a HTC phone that’s much thinner than even the Droid or iPhone – The Dragon/Passion. This is the phone the senior Android guys at Google are now carrying around and testing, at least as of a couple of weeks ago. If you’re willing to give up the Droid’s keyboard, the Dragon/Passion is going to be a really cool phone. It should be fully available very soon.

But it isn’t the Google Phone. Everything up until now has just been a warm up to the Google Phone.

Way more interesting are the rumors we’ve been hearing for months about a pure Google-branded phone. Most of our sources have unconfirmed information, which we describe below. But there are a few things we have absolutely confirmed: Google is building their own branded phone that they’ll sell directly and through retailers. They were long planning to have the phone be available by the holidays, but it has now slipped to early 2010. The phone will be produced by a major phone manufacturer but will only have Google branding (Microsoft did the same thing with their first Zunes, which were built by Toshiba).

There won’t be any negotiation or compromise over the phone’s design of features – Google is dictating every last piece of it. No splintering of the Android OS that makes some applications unusable. Like the iPhone for Apple, this phone will be Google’s pure vision of what a phone should be.

That’s it for confirmed, super-high confidence information, which frankly isn’t a whole lot more than we all heard back in late October. But we also have a few more details as well that we’ve gathered from a number of sources. Everything that follows we still consider to be just well-sourced rumors:

One source told us that HTC, a Taiwanese company, is building the new Google phone, but we think that information is incorrect. We have some fairly good information that suggests Google is working with a Korean phone manufacturer on the Google phone – LG or Samsung (we mentioned this on CrunchGear earlier this week). Samsung has multiple parts in the iPhone and could be pressured by Apple not to work with Google, which says LG is the more likely partner for Google. So rumors like this one may be much more important than they first appear. But either way, the best information we have right now points directly at Korea as the birthplace of the Google Phone.

We’ve also heard from a good source that Google is planning a big advertising push around the device early next year – like January.

That’s all we have for now. We don’t yet know what the device will look like, how big it will be, or even if it has a physical keyboard. But we do know that Google is getting into the phone building business directly, and doesn’t seem too concerned about competing with all the other device manufacturers building Android phones.

Update: The Google Phone may be a data only, VoIP device.

Even though others reported that the packaging problems were being fixed, I was still worried I'd get a box of bolts. I was happy to receive the drive in a box that was about twice as big as the drive itself, with styrofoam holders made specifically for shipping hard drives. The drive was in an antistatic bag as well.

THE PROBLEM I had with the shipping came from the fact that I ordered 4 other electronic items as well, and the packager thought it would be perfectly ok to just rest them all on top of each other and throw a few semi-inflated air bubbles on top. Everything was shifting around by the time I got it. This wasn't so much a problem for the other stuff, since it was all in its OEM packaging. But I was worried about the drive. So far I haven't noticed anything wrong, but I did voice my concern to Amazon.

INSTALLATION was a breeze (make sure you log into your bios setup and turn on the hard drive slot), and with WD's free copy of True Image, I had my old drive completely cloned with just a few clicks.By Jorge (Arizona, USA)

They do not give the actual frame size of the bike which turns out to be smaller then it looks in the picture. Its height is lower than you would think which makes your knees on the paddles come up to your chest unless your have your seat up real high which then you have trouble touching the ground.

Also the front wheel hub on the one I received was really loose and made the tire really wobbly and it could not be fixed without taking it totally a part which wasn't easy. By J.M.V

I absolutely love my Kindle!! Easy to use, light and comfortable to hold, very easy to navigate, even for someone like me who did not grow up using computer technology! Books download in less than 15 seconds. I love the experimental items, especially being able to download MP3 music. My only minor complaint is the way pages are numbered. I wish there was some way to see the page number as it relates to the actual book, even if it had to show you were on the same page for several of the "pages" you turn on screen. I like to know, especially toward the end of a book, how many pages I have left to read, in case I want to finish all at one sitting. But this is a very minor concern, and the good points far outweigh it. I also purchased a platform jacket that allows me to prop the Kindle up so I can read while eating my lunch. I just recieved my Elite today, I had to pick one up due to the Amazon promotion (12 + 1 month xbox live free too bad the promotion is gone now.) So my Elite have the jasper mobo which is great due to it being more quieter than my launch 360 (which i still have and working). I am no fanboy so this is a honest review. I have all three console (Wii, PS3, 360). I love all the PS3 exclusive (LBP, Infamous, MGS4, etc..) and 360 (Gears 2, Halo, Fable, etc..) and Wii (Mario Galaxy, LoZ:Twilight Princess, Animal Crossing etc...) One thing i notice different between These (fall 2009) and the other xbox 360 (Pro, Arcade, GOTY Elite, RE5 Elite) is that the power brick is WAYYY Smaller than before. I compared it with my RE5 Elite and my RE5 Elite have a bigger power brick even tho its a jasper. I read some forums and some people said that these fall 2009 are not always jasper, so it might be a risk ordering it from amazon. But i did, and got a jasper, other people have also receive jasper.

So both ps3 and the 360 elite cost $299. Both are great console to own. It all comes down to your own opinion on which to choose from. BOTH DO NOT come HD ready meaning you will have to buy your own HDMI cables or Component Cable But HDMI cables are cheap you can just buy it here at amazon. PS3: Blu Ray player, WiFi, FREE PSN membership, Sony Exclusive games (God of war 3, Uncharted, GT5 etc...) 360: LIVE membership $50 a year (sometimes cheaper if you can get the LIVE cards on sale), 360 exclusive games (Alan Wake, Halo ODST, Fable 2, Gears 2 etc...)
